Sanan named to NTRA board

Satish Sanan, the owner of Padua Stables, has been appointed to the board of directors of the National Thoroughbred Racing Association to represent Breeders' Cup Ltd., the NTRA announced Tuesday.

Sanan, who has increasingly played a prominent role in Breeders' Cup management in recent years, will officially begin serving on the board at its September meeting. He had sat in on the previous NTRA board meeting as an observer.

Sanan will replace G. Watts Humphrey, who was no longer eligible to represent the Breeders' Cup after failing to get re-elected to that organization's board of directors in July.x
