Sam Houston track report

Mary Rampellini|Nov 28, 2002

Agrivating General, who was an outstanding maiden winner at Lone Star Park in June, makes his first start since then Saturday night in the $30,000 Conroe at Sam Houston Race Park in Houston.

The six-furlong race for 3-year-olds also drew stakes winner Richest Half and Padlock, as well as the promising Soldier Lake, who has won his last two for owner John Franks and trainer Eddie Milligan.

Agrivating General, a half-brother to $300,000 earner Miss Aggie Lue, beat statebred maidens by 11 3/4 lengths on June 29. For his comeback, he has worked in razor-sharp fashion for trainer Danny Pish and could prove to be the controlling speed.

Roman Chapa will ride.
