Salutos Amigos eyes Toboggan

Salutos Amigos, winner of three stakes in his last four starts, will most likely make his next start in the Grade 3, $150,000 Toboggan Stakes here on Feb. 7, trainer and part-owner David Jacobson said Sunday.
Jacobson had said either the Toboggan or the General George at Laurel Park were a likely next spot for Salutos Amigos, who is also under consideration for a trip to Dubai in late March for the $2 million Golden Shaheen.
“The Toboggan is probably where we’ll go,” Jacobson said. “I’m always leaning toward New York.”
Salutos Amigos worked a slow three furlongs on Sunday in 40.21 seconds over the Aqueduct inner track, his first breeze since winning the Gravesend on Dec. 26.
“He’s as good as he’s ever been,” Jacobson said.
Jacobson also said that he most likely will run Alex M. Robb Stakes winner Big Business in this Sunday’s $100,000 Hollie Hughes for New York-breds at six furlongs.
