Sadler barn gets Group 3 winner for Oaks

DEL MAR, Calif. – Princess Charm, a Group 3 winner in France in March, has joined trainer John Sadler’s stable and is a candidate for the $300,000 Del Mar Oaks on Aug. 15.

Princess Charm cleared quarantine last week and has begun training, Sadler said. She was recently purchased privately by Kosta and Pete Hronis.

An Irish-bred by Rip Van Winkle, Princess Charm has won 3 of 9 starts. She won the Group 3 Prix Rose de Mai at Saint-Cloud in March but has lost her last three starts, all in group stakes. Princess Charm was third in the Group 3 Prix Chloe at 1 1/8 miles on turf at Chantilly on June 29 in her most recent race.
