Runnymede Farm names Malhouitre vice president and general manager

Romain Malhouitre has been named vice president and general manager of Runnymede Farm Inc. in Lexington, Ky.

Malhouitre, a former manager at Dixiana Farm and Woods Edge Farm, succeeds Martin O’Dowd, who will continue as a senior consultant with Runnymede while also operating a bloodstock and racing management venture.

“I am gratified to have the trust of the Runnymede management team to help lead the farm forward to build on Runnymede’s unique global brand in the Thoroughbred arena while expanding into new market portfolios and strengthening the farm’s business base at a time when the Thoroughbred industry is rebounding and dynamic,” Malhouitre said. “I look forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead with optimism and confidence.”

Malhouitre most recently spent six years at Dixiana Farm, where his roles included sales director and assistant farm manager. Prior to that, he was the yearling manager at Peter O’Callaghan’s Woods Edge Farm. Internationally, the French native has worked at Milltown Stud and Morristown Lattin Stud in Co. Kildare, Ireland.
