Runnin'toluvya wins A Huevo in repeat style

The $50,950 A Huevo Stakes at Charles Town on Saturday night played out almost exactly the same as the $270,000 West Virginia Breeders Classic did four weeks ago with Runnin'toluvya going wire to wire in the 1 1/8-mile race and North Atlantic stalking him early and coming up short late.
Runnin'toluvya went directly to the front in the A Huevo while North Atlantic settled into second position. Jockey Arnaldo Bocachica aboard North Atlantic chose not to press Runnin'toluvya, who was allowed to set comfortable fractions of 24.80, 49.47, and 1:14.68.
When North Atlantic made his move on the third and final turn, he never got closer than three-quarters of a length to Runnin'toluvya, who easily turned him away and went on to score by two lengths. Runnin'toluvya won the Breeders Classic by 2 1/2 lengths.
Runnin'toluvya, who is owned and trained by Timothy Grams, improved his near-perfect record this year to eight wins in nine starts. In his only loss, he was beaten a neck by William and Mary in a May allowance race.
A 4-year-old gelded son of Fiber Sonde out of the Not For Love mare Lov'emnrun, Runnin'toluvya is now 10 for 14 lifetime with earnings of $329,000
The final time of the A Huevo was 1:51.92. Runnin'toluvya paid $2.60 to win.
Weekend Liberty finished third, 3 1/4 lengths behind 5-2 second choice North Atlantic, who is now 5 for 9 on the season, with three of those losses runner-up finishes to Runnin'toluvya.
Awsome Faith, who finished fourth, hopped in the air at the start to get away from the gates slowly.
