Ryan Denver/EQUI-PHOTO Royal Charlotte, ridden by Joe Bravo, wins the Hystericalady Stakes on Monday at Monmouth.

Trainer Chad Brown and jockey Joe Bravo teamed up for their third stakes win of the holiday weekend at Monmouth Park on Monday as Royal Charlotte easily won the $75,000 Hystericalady, a six-furlong sprint for 3-year-old fillies.

On Saturday, Brown and Bravo won the Grade 2, $200,000 Monmouth Stakes with Almanaar and the $75,000 Boiling Springs with Beautiful Lover.

Royal Charlotte scored her third win without a loss in the Hystericalady. A daughter of Cairo Prince who races for First Row Partners, she paid $3.20 and was timed in 1:09.92.

Bravo eased Royal Charlotte off the pace as all five horses in the field went for the early lead. Bravo sent Royal Charlotte three wide on the far turn to make her move, she took command nearing the stretch, drew clear, and then was not hard-ridden late while scoring by 2 1/2 lengths.

“I wasn’t going to get fancy out there,” Bravo said. “This horse outran everybody. She just ran faster than the rest of them.”

Runner-up Miss Imperial was sent off as the 5-2 second choice. She raced inside the winner on the backstretch and into the far turn, then had to await racing room while Royal Charlotte commenced her bid. She finished well to be clearly second best but Royal Charlotte got the jump on her and the race was basically over in upper stretch.

It was seven lengths back to Swap Meet, who came on again to take third by a nose over Malocchio. Swap Meet raced on the early pace between ground-saving Malocchio and Questionoftheday but dropped off the pace on the far turn.

Royal Charlotte won her career debut by four lengths at Gulfstream Park in March. She returned to win an optional-claiming race at Keeneland in April.

** Attendance at Monmouth on Memorial Day was 14,201. Total attendance for the three-day holiday weekend, which included the Jersey Shore Food Truck Festival, was 45,454.
