Rose named to ride Terrain

Jeremy Rose, who won the Preakness Stakes in acrobatic fashion aboard Afleet Alex in 2005, has picked up the mount on Terrain for this Saturday's Preakness, trainer Al Stall Jr. said Monday.

"I like the way the guy rides, and he's local," Stall said.

Terrain was fourth in the Blue Grass Stakes in his most recent start with Julien Leparoux. Leparoux is riding General Quarters in the Preakness.
