Rock Your World possible for La Jolla

The 3-year-olds Rock Your World, winner of the Santa Anita Derby on April 3, and Flightline, the exciting winner of a maiden race at Santa Anita in late April, are scheduled to work at Del Mar this weekend for expected starts in coming weeks.
Rock Your World, a troubled 17th in the Kentucky Derby on May 1 at Churchill Downs, was sixth in the Belmont Stakes on June 5 at Belmont Park. The Grade 2 Del Mar Derby at 1 1/8 miles on turf on Sept. 4 is a long-range goal for Rock Your World, who could run in the Grade 3 La Jolla Stakes at 1 1/16 miles on turf on Aug. 8. Rock Your World will work on turf Sunday, trainer John Sadler said Wednesday.
Flightline, purchased for $1 million as a yearling, won his debut by 13 1/4 lengths at six furlongs on April 25 but has not started since. Flightline worked five furlongs in 59.60 seconds on July 1 at Santa Anita in his most recent extensive exercise.
“I want to work him over this track,” Sadler said of Del Mar.
Friday, Sadler runs Crew Dragon in the $100,000 Runhappy Oceanside Stakes at a mile on turf, the colt’s first start for Sadler and owner Hronis Racing. The race drew a field of 14.
“We’ve had ample time to get him ready, and his last works have been good,” Sadler said. “We’ll need some racing luck with that many horses going a flat mile.”
