Rock Your World blazes five furlongs for Belmont Stakes

ARCADIA, Calif. – Rock Your World zipped five furlongs in 58.40 seconds at Santa Anita on Friday morning, a day before he was scheduled to be flown to New York for the Grade 1 Belmont Stakes at Belmont Park on June 5.
Rock Your World had the fastest time of the morning for the distance, and galloped out six furlongs in 1:11.80 and seven furlongs in 1:25, according to trainer John Sadler.

“We’ve been talking with the barn and the riders, and we think we’ve been grabbing him a little bit,” Sadler said. “It wasn’t about the time, it was how he did it.
“He was impressive. It was how he got down there. Here we are a week out and he looks good and bright.”
Owned by Hronis Racing and Michael Talla, Rock Your World has won 3 of 4 starts with the only loss a troubled 17th in the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs on May 1. Rock Your World won his dirt track debut in the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby on April 3. He worked a quick five furlongs in 59.20 seconds the week before that race.
