Rivers Run Deep dominates field in Green Carpet Stakes

CINCINNATI – Rivers Run Deep made quick work of the field of eight Ohio-registered 3-year-old horses in the $50,000 Green Carpet at Belterra Park Sunday afternoon.
Trained by Cody Autrey, Rivers Run Deep was never asked by jockey Jareth Loveberry in the 1 1/16-mile race. Rivers Run Deep was allowed to set leisurely fractions of 24.72 seconds, 49.25, 1.13.42 and 1.37.42 for the mile. The final time was 1.44.20, and Rivers Run Deep won by 10 lengths in handy fashion.
Doctoriat was second, 1 3/4 lengths ahead of Dr. Advo Cat in third.
Rivers Run Deep returned $2.20 to win.
