River Downs: Startin Something all the way in Cincinnatian

CINCINNATI - Startin Something led from start to finish to best four other 3-year-old Ohio-accredited fillies in the $50,000 Cincinnatian at River Downs on Saturday afternoon.

Trained by Tim Hamm, Startin Something recorded her first victory of the season after being named statebred champion 2-year-old filly for 2010. Jockey Cesar Camaque kept Startin Something on the lead and just off the hedge in the 1 1/16-mile race until midstretch, when she began to kick clear. She would not change leads late but still held on to win by a neck over a late-charging School Lass. It was another two lengths back to Flopsy in third.

The running time over a firm turf course was 1.48.54 and Startin Something returned $6 to win as the second choice.
