River Downs: Kind of Fun put up

CINCINNATI - Kind of Fun was awarded the top spot in the $100,000, nine furlong Queen City Oaks following a Steward's Inquiry and rider's claim of foul after having dropped a neck decision to Crypto's Twinjet. It was four and one-half lengths further back to Come Hither in the field of 10 Ohio Bred three year old fillies.

Crypto's Twinjet raced just off the leaders three-wide the opening five furlongs. She moved three-wide up to make the lead with Kind of Fun lapped on her outside. The two raced on near-even terms the final half-mile. Through the stretch Crypto's Twinjet began to drift despite right-handed whipping by Hector Rosario, Jr. and a few yards from the wire ducked out and bumped Kind of Fun.

Kind of Fun, owned by Mark Corrado and Mark Hanna, ran the nine furlongs in 1:55.40 over the fast racing strip and returned an even $7 to her backers.
