Ride Me Fast showed speed and courage to capture Saturday's $50,000 Sun Devil at Turf Paradise.

Owned by Mike Pegram and trained by Bob Baffert, Ride Me Fast showed high speed after breaking a bit slowly. She rushed up to duel on the lead with Streaking Nun and put that rival away going to the far turn of the six-furlong test for 3-year-old fillies, but was immediately tackled by 3-5 favorite Shakenwithanolive. Those two battled head to head, and Shakenwithanolive appeared to get the upper hand turning for home. But Ride Me Fast gamely battled back along the rail under Ry Eikleberry to post the head win.

A 3-year-old daughter of Candy Ride based in Southern California, Ride Me Fast covered the distance in 1:08.65 and paid $5.20 as the second choice in the six-horse field. Shakenwithanolive finished clear of Thelifeoftheparty in third.

The winner's share of $30,000 pushes Ride Me Fast's career bankroll to $101,480 from 3 wins in 8 starts.
