Rice said she will most likely add blinkers to Montauk Traffic’s equipment for the Bay Shore, which is run at seven furlongs as was the Jimmy Winkfield.
“He’s a little green,” Rice said. “It may move him forward an extra step to beat better horses.”
Rice still has Max Player, winner of the Withers Stakes, on schedule for the Wood Memorial on the same April 4 card.
◗ Dream Bigger earned an 80 Beyer Speed Figure for his 7 3/4-length victory in Sunday’s $100,000 Damon Runyon Stakes for New York-bred 3-year-olds.
Dream Bigger, a son of the New York-based stallion Mission Impazible owned by Mike Repole, will be pointed to the $200,000 Times Square division of the Stallion Stakes on April 19, trainer Rudy Rodriguez said.
