Ribo Bobo eyes Vosburgh

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - Ribo Bobo, the six-time stakes-winning gelding, has recently been moved to Saratoga to train, according to trainer Jason Servis, who plans to point him to the Grade 1 Vosburgh at Belmont on Sept. 27.
Ribo Bobo, who won 10 of 11 races in 2013, suffered his third loss from six starts this year when third in the Teddy Drone Stakes at Monmouth on July 27. Servis said he decided to move Ribo Bobo up to Saratoga “for a change of scenery.”
“His last race was a little flat,” Servis said. “I’m just going to throw it out. It’s hard to constantly win every time. If he’s doing good, we’ll run in the Vosburgh, and he if he runs good in there we may try the Breeders’ Cup.”
Ribo Bobo, claimed for $8,000 and then re-claimed for $6,250 by Servis and Mr. Amore Stable early in 2013, has won 18 of 54 starts and banked $799,655.
Meanwhile, Servis said he has not yet decided whether to run Grade 2 Bowling Green Stakes winner Hangover Kid in the Grade 1, $500,000 Sword Dancer on Aug. 17 or the $150,000 West Point for New York-breds on Aug. 24.
