Reyina continued her rapid development for trainer Tony Richey as she outfinished odds-on favorite Intimidating Woman to capture the filly division of the $100,000 John Franks Memorial Sales Stakes on Friday night at Evangeline Downs. La Belle Te Fille finished another four lengths back in third. Fourth in her debut when qualifying for the D. S. "Shine" Futurity last month, Reyina ($5.40) finished a much better second in the finals of the "Shine" before picking up her first victory in the Franks. She was ridden by Don Simington and covered the 5 1/2 furlongs in 1:06.64 over a fast track. A Louisiana-bred daughter of Mr. John, Reyina has now earned slightly less than $85,000 for owner Danny Ray Butler.
