Retama: Krishavingfunnow?

A win by Storybook Kid in the Barksdale would bode well for Krishavingfunnow in the Retama Park Turf. He has faced the horse in his last two starts, finishing a close third to him in an allowance two races ago and running fifth in the Dallas Turf Cup last time out.

The Retama Park Turf will be Krishavingfunnow's first start since that June 21 stakes. He is co-highweighted at 120 pounds with April's Lucky Boy.

Krishavingfunnow faced quality competition in the Dallas Turf Cup and has a fine record at Retama. He has won four turf races at the track, three of them stakes, including the $100,000 El Joven at 2.

Krishavingfunnow will be ridden by Ted Gondron.

The 1 1/16-mile race also drew defending champ Chauffe Au Rouge, Agrivating General, and Big Numbers.

* The seventh race at Retama, a 7 1/2-furlong allowance for 2-year-olds, will serve as a prep for the El Joven on Aug. 30.
