Remington Park: Plans pending for She’s All In

She’s All In likely wrapped up her 5-year-old season last Friday night when she romped by seven lengths in the $145,000 Oklahoma Classics Distaff at Remington Park. Donnie Von Hemel, who trains She’s All In for Robert Zoellner, said future plans are being debated for the mare, who earlier this year won the Grade 3 Sixty Sails at Hawthorne.

“We’re trying to decide what to do,” Von Hemel said. “Nothing is set in stone, [but] there are really no more opportunities for her this fall. We’ll probably give her a break and see what she’s going to do as far as racing or breeding next year.”

She’s All In on Monday remained in Von Hemel’s care at Remington. Her connections are looking at all options with the mare, including the newly announced $400,000 Houston Ladies Classic that will be run at Sam Houston Race Park on Jan. 26.

“That has piqued our interest,” Von Hemel said.

She’s All In went over $750,000 in career earnings in the Oklahoma Classics Distaff, her fourth win from 10 stats in 2012. Her biggest effort came in April, when she zoomed to victory by more than eight lengths in the Sixty Sails and earned a career-high Beyer of 103.

“I think it was a really nice year for her,” Von Hemel said, “and to get a graded stakes win under her belt, that’s always a big thing for a potential broodmare.”

She’s All In is a 14-time winner by Include.
