Reinvestment Risk to stand in Jamaica

Schumer Bloodstock is proud to announce the acquisition of Reinvestment Risk to stand at Rising Sun Farm in Portmore, Jamaica where he will stand alongside Grade 3 winner Midnight Hawk.

The son of up and coming sire Upstart placed in four of his Grade 1 starts. After breaking his maiden as a two-year-old in Saratoga on debut, he was runner up to champion Jackie’s Warrior twice that year, which included the Grade 1 Hopeful and the Grade 1 Champagne. Towards the conclusion of his career during his four-year-old campaign, he ran second to multiple Grade 1 winner Speakers Corner in the Grade 1 Carter before meeting up with his old rival Jackie’s Warrior in the Grade 1 Churchill Downs Stakes where he finished second best again.

During his career there were many other top horses that he defeated. Among those are Breeders Cup Sprint winner Aloha West, Grade 1 winners Mind Control and Olympiad, as well as Graded winners First Captain, Green Light Go, Drafted, Long Range Toddy, Midnight Bourbon, and Prevalence. He capped off his career with earnings of over $415,000 and posted two Beyer Speed Figures above 100.
