Redgrass Cat, Thegirlinthatsong meet again in Thursday feature

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas – Redgrass Cat and Thegirlinthatsong, both stakes winners on turf last year at Louisiana Downs, will meet in Thursday night’s fourth race at Lone Star Park, a one-mile turf allowance for 3-year-old fillies. Redgrass Cat will be returning to grass after wintering at Oaklawn, where in her last start she was third in an optional $50,000 claimer. Luis Quinonez has the mount for trainer Allen Milligan.

Smiles Golden Song, a three-time stakes winner, makes her first start since the Sam Houston meet in the seventh race, an optional $30,000 claimer for fillies and mares at a mile on turf. She enters off a close third-place finish in the $50,000 Jersey Lily on March 1. Apprentice David Cabrera has the mount for trainer Larry Stroope.
