The history books will be written Sunday afternoon on the crowning day of the Weekend Of Champions at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The capital oval will host 13-dashes including six Atlantic Breeder's Crown finals to decide the champions of the 2021 Atlantic Sires Stakes season with a 12:30 P.M. opening post time.

Woodmere Stealdeal will look to defend his title in the three-year-old pacing colt final carrying a $25,000 purse sponsored by Cavendish Farms. Marc Campbell will be in the bike from post 3 in race 11 for trainer Danny Romo and owners Kevin Dorey, Robert Sumarah, Glen MacDonald and Frank Brundle. A winner of 19 races from 24 lifetime starts, Woodmere Stealdeal will have his work cut out for him against six divisional rivals including Dustylanegoliath (To be driven by Gilles Barrieau) and Rotten Ronnie (Redmond Doucet).

Race 9 has the $25,000 Atlantic Breeder's Crown for three-year-old pacing fillies with the top two entries drawing the outside. Post 7 has Tobins Brownie (David Dowling) while track-record holder Mystifying (Barrieau) leaves from post 8.

Fern Hill General will look to return to the winner's circle in the two-year-old colt final in race 7. Brodie MacPhee steers the pacer from post 4 from the Earl Smith stable for owners Peter Smith and Gerald Morrissey. Stash It Away (Corey MacPherson) dealt defeat to the top pacer his last two starts but is saddled with post 8 in the championship final.

Therealprincess gets the respect of top choice in the two-year-old pacing filly final in race 5 as MacPherson steers the filly from post 6 in the $25,000 event for trainer Eddy Doucette.

Mr Finlay Ridge rides a three-race win streak into the $10,000 Atlantic Breeder's Crown three-year-old trot final for trainer-driver Clare MacDonald in race 3.

Up Helly Aa puts his eight-race win streak to the test in the $10,000 two-year-old trot final in race 1 for driver Ken MacDonald and trainer Clare MacDonald.

The Island Oceans Trot Classic Final hits the track in race 4 with a $11,100 purse presented by JD Marine and Diving Inc.

Race 12 is the $8,000 Atlantic Breeder's Crown Invitational pace while the pacing mares face off in race 10 for $6,000 in the Atlantic Breeder's Crown Open Mares.

Woodmere Fenn Looks To Extend Streak Saturday

Woodmere Fenn has tasted victory has last two starts and will look to make it three in the Atlantic Breeder’s Crown consolation for three-year-old pacing colts on Saturday afternoon at Red Shores at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The 12-dash card gets underway at 12:30 P.M. featuring four Atlantic Breeder's Crown pacing consolations, presented by Cavendish Farms.

The three-year-old pacing colts have their $7,500 consolation in race 11 with Woodmere Fenn the top choice from post 3 after winning his last two races for driver Gilles Barrieau, trainer Ron Matheson and owner Pat Morris of Charlottetown.

Whistler is the second choice from post 6 for the team of trainer-driver Jason Hughes and owner Alan MacDonald of East Bideford. A son of Stonebridge Terror, Whistler has scored four wins and three seconds this season from 12 starts and will look to go over $20,000 in seasonal earnings in the class.

Peter MacPhee sides with Whistler in the Post Time Picks. "When you look at the 2021 summary Whistler had a nice year and already has four wins on his resume. Moves to the fence but can really storm home so don’t be surprised if they make it a high five."

The $7,500 three-year-old pacing filly Atlantic Breeder's Crown consolation lines up in race 9 as Aspoonfulofsugar is the top choice with rail control for driver Walter Cheverie, trainer Joe Baxter and owners Jennifer Baxter, Matthew Williams and Cam MacPhee.

Howmac Maximus has been hitting the board every week and is the top entry in the race 7 two-year-old pacing colt consolation. Adam Merner gets the catch driving call for trainer Wade Sorrie, who co-owns the son of Articulator with Walter Simmons of Summerside.

Cutter Loose is the morning line favourite in the $7,500 two-year-old pacing filly consolation in race 5 for trainer-driver Marc Campbell and MCR Cutter Loose Group.
