Red Shores: Posts drawn for Gold Cup & Saucer

After a dominating performance in Gold Cup and Saucer Trial two, Sintra has drawn post 9 for the C$100,000 final set for Saturday evening (Aug. 20) at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

The draw for the Gold Cup and Saucer final took place during the Tuesday program at the capital oval. The posts for the nine-horse final were drawn by the Gold Cup and Saucer Ambassadors while being officiated by the Atlantic Provinces Harness Racing Commission.

Trial one winner Ideal Perception will leave from post 3 while Trial three winner Patrikthepiranha A has post 2 with Wally Hennessey coming in for the drive.

Also announced on the Tuesday draw, Warren Ellis and family of Summerside Chrysler Dodge is sponsoring the "Smash The Track Record" promotion with an extra $10,000 going to the Gold Cup and Saucer winner if they break YS Lotus' 1:50 1/5 track record in the process.
