Amanda Stephens Winnpanzee won her Kentucky Championship Series contest on Wednesday at The Red Mile

Winnpanzee backed up her win in Kentucky Championship Series action for sophomore trotting fillies on August 24 with another triumph in Wednesday's $80,000 contest at The Red Mile.

Aperfect Annie (Todd McCarthy) cut fractions of 28, 56 4/5 and 1:25 1/5, but Winnpanzee (Yannick Gingras), who went first-over out of fourth on the final turn, took command in the stretch. From there, there was no catching Winnpanzee as she defeated pocket-sitter Torrisi (Tim Tetrick) by three-quarters of a length in a 1:52 4/5 mile. Stash Some Cash (Andy Miller) advanced from sixth to third in the final panel.

A daughter of Gimpanzee bred by Ola Yoder, Winnpanzee is trained by Ron Burke for owners Burke Racing Stable LLC., Brad Grant and Weaver Bruscemi LLC. She has five wins, five seconds and two thirds from 17 starts, has pocketed $155,820 and paid $3.70 to win.

Tactical Moni, a Tactical Landing filly bred and owned by Moni Maker Stable, won the single $30,000 Kentucky Commonwealth Series tilt from first-over in 1:52 1/5 for driver Dexter Dunn and trainer Domenico Cecere. Unraced at 2, she has a summary of 5-1-0 in 2025 and has earnings of $53,300. She returned $14.98 to win.
