The 1-9 favorite, Its A Love Thing (James MacDonald) was third at the 28 second opening quarter and then made her way to the front prior to the 55 3/5 half. Its A Love Thing continued to lead through three-quarters in 1:23 and would sprint a 26 4/5 final quarter to win by three-quarters of a length. Direction (Todd McCarthy) tipped out of the pocket turning for home and had the length of the stretch to go by, but she had to settle for second and Bath Bomb (Yannick Gingras) finished third after an inside trip in the pocket and then the three-hole.
