Red Mile: Boudoir Hanover, Double Deceiver get Kentucky Championship Series victories

Three-year-old pacing filly Boudoir Hanover posted her third straight win while sophomore trotting gelding Double Deceiver rebounded after a sixth-place finish in his last try in the pair of $80,000 Kentucky Championship Series dashes on Sunday afternoon at The Red Mile.
Driver Todd McCarthy fired Boudoir Hanover out from post four in her race and then let Lookatmyrapsheet (Yannick Gingras) clear after a 28 second opening quarter. McCarthy would put his charge back on the engine heading to the 56 second half, and after continuing to show the way through a 1:24 three-quarters, Boudoir Hanover sprinted home in 26 seconds to defeat Lookatmyrapsheet by a length in 1:50. Msdinosis Blugrass (Dexter Dunn) was third.
A Captaintreacherous filly, Boudoir Hanover is trained by Tony Alagna for owners Riverview Racing LLC., Alagna Racing LLC., Caviart Farms, and D Plouffe And S Head. Bred by Riverview Breeding LLC. and Visionary Breeders LLC., Boudoir Hanover posted her seventh victory from 21 lifetime attempts, and she has now put away $502,998. The heavy favorite, Boudoir Hanover returned $3.22 to win.
In the tilt for 3-year-old male trotters, Golden Wall AS (Tony Hall) carved out the quarter in just 29 seconds, and then Tim Tetrick would brush favored Rebuff from third to first on the way to the 56 1/5 half. Rebuff kept the top spot through a 1:23 4/5 three-quarters and into the lane, but he weakened in the final eighth, with Golden Wall AS going by on the outside and Double Deceiver (David Miller), who'd been on the pylons in second and third, surging on the inside. At the wire, Double Deceiver got in front of Golden Wall AS, too, defeating him by a nostril in 1:51. Rebuff held third.
The victorious gelding by Cantab Hall was bred by Steve Stewart and Oakwood Farms and is trained by Carter Pinske for owners Pinske Stables and Makenna Pinske. Double Deceiver is an nine-time winner from 20 career tries, has now pocketed $503,479, and paid $9.96 to win as the 3-1 third choice.
