Record-setting filly's sire moves

Steve Andersen|Apr 18, 2007

Bring the Heat, the sire of world-record setter One Hot Wish, was relocated from Abbott Ranch in Oro Grande, Calif., to Tommy Town Thoroughbreds in Santa Ynez, Calif. on Tuesday, according to Tommy Town owner Tom Stull.

Bring the Heat stood for $2,500 at Abbott Ranch, but a fee has not been finalized for his time at Tommy Town, Stull said.

One Hot Wish ran 4 1/2 furlongs in the world-record time of 48.87 seconds in her debut at Keeneland on April 12.

Through Tuesday, Bring the Heat has had four winners from six runners this year and progeny earnings of $102,716. The current group of 2-year-olds is his second crop to race.
