Reach One More turns back favorite

GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - Reach One More overcame a strong challenge from 4-5 favorite Tidal Storm in the final turn to rally back and post a three-quarter-length win in Saturday's $11,420 Baxter Stakes at Fonner Park.

Reach One More, ridden by Mike Ziegler, returned $9.80 while making just his third career start. The 3-year-old son of Blumin Affair covered the six furlongs over a fast track in 1:12.40. He had won his maiden at first asking in last year's State Fair Futurity at Lincoln, then failed to threaten in his first start this year when seventh in the half-mile Bachman Stakes on March 14.

Ziegler had four wins on the day and was joined by rider Chris Fackler, who also won four on the 10-race card.
