Reach One More carries 128 to victory

OMAHA, Neb. - Reach One More had no problem with his 128-pound weight assignment as he claimed a third straight stakes victory with a 1 3/4-length win over four other older Nebraska-bred rivals in the $28,000 Who Doctor Who Handicap at Horsemen's Park on Saturday afternoon.

Reach One More, ridden by Jordan Olesiak, was joined on the pace by Justabit Shawklit after a quarter-mile of the one mile test. Justabit Shawklit briefly got a head in front as they turned into the backstretch but Reach One More surged back to the front, then moved clear in the closing sixteenth under mild encouragement from Olesiak. Justabit Shawklit toted 119 pounds in the race.

Trained by Chuck Turco, Reach One More moved his career mark to 10-1-0 from 13 starts while winning his ninth stakes race. He returned $2.60 as the 2-5 favorite and covered the distance in 1:40.40 over a fast track. Turco also had From the Ashes entered in the race, but he was withdrawn to compete in Sunday's $50,000 Omaha Stakes.
