Rated R Superstar tries turf in Allied Forces Stakes

ELMONT, N.Y. – Rated R Superstar, the winner of the Grade 3 Carry Back at Gulfstream Park two starts back, will make his turf debut in Sunday’s $100,000 Allied Forces Stakes at Belmont Park. The six-furlong race drew a field of six and will be run as the fifth race.
Rated R Superstar is by Kodiak Kowboy and out of the dam Wicked Wish, who has thrown one turf winner, Share the Sugar, by Heatseaker. Ken McPeek trains Rated R Superstar and also trained Share the Sugar.
“You’re not going to get many opportunities to run against straight 3-year-olds sprinting on the turf, and if he can do it, it adds a new dimension,” McPeek said. “I like this spot for him.”
Rated R Superstar, who finished 10th in the Grade 1 King’s Bishop last out, drew post 2 and will be ridden by Luis Saez.
He will face a field that includes multiple stakes winner Conquest Enforcer, Too Discreet, Don’t Be So Salty, Front Pocket Money, and Bust Another.
