Rakti out of Arlington Million

Rakti's trip to the Arlington Million has been canceled, because it was discovered that the 4-year-old suffered an injury when he finished second to Nayef in the Prince of Wales's Stakes at Royal Ascot.

Trained by Michael Jarvis for Gary Tanaka, Rakti had won the 1 1/4-mile Group 1 Premio Presidente della Repubblica in May. Jarvis said that Rakti would not run again until the autumn.

Meanwhile, The Thoroughbred Corporation is sending its Group 1 winner Elusive City to be trained in California. No decision has been announced as to which of The Thoroughbred Corporation's California trainers, Bob Baffert or Kristin Mulhall, will be getting Elusive City.
