Rainbow pick six has carryover of $588,484
The 20-cent Rainbow pick six has a carryover of $588,484 into Monday’s program at Santa Anita, a day with a mandatory payout.
Track officials expect the pool of new money to surpass $5 million.
Monday’s pick six covers the fifth through 10th races on a program that begins at 1 p.m., Pacific. The first race in the pick six has a post time of approximately 3:18 p.m.
The pick six sequence of races consists of the Grade 1 Shoemaker Mile on turf, a $50,000 claiming race for maidens at 6 1/2 furlongs, a $100,000 claiming race for maidens at a mile on turf, a maiden special weight race at six furlongs, an allowance race at about 6 1/2 furlongs on the hillside turf course, and the Grade 1 Gamely Stakes for fillies and mares at 1 1/8 miles on turf.
The six races have fields of 6, 9, 8, 6, 8 and 8 before scratches.
