Rainbow pick six at Del Mar has $513,149 carryover for Sunday
DEL MAR, Calif. - The 20-cent Rainbow pick six begins at Del Mar on Sunday with a carryover of $513,149 from Saturday’s program.
Track officials expect the pool of new money to reach $4 million.
The pick six covers the fourth through ninth races on a program that begins at 12:30 p.m. Pacific. Past performances are available at DRF.com, with wagering available at DRFBets.com.
The sequence of races in the pick six consists of a $32,000 claimer for maiden 2-year-old fillies at six furlongs, the Grade 3 Cecil B. DeMille Stakes for 2-year-olds at a mile on turf, an optional claimer for California-breds at six furlongs, the Grade 1 Matriarch Stakes for fillies and mares at a mile on turf, a starter allowance at a mile on dirt, and an optional claimer at 1 1/16 miles on turf.
Before late scratches, the pick six races have fields of 12, 9, 8, 9, 10 and 10.
Wakanaka will not run in the Matriarch Stakes after testing positive for EHV-1 through a nasal swab, the California Horse Racing Board announced on Saturday.
