Rainbow 6 pool could top $2M on Monday
There is a $662,400 carryover in the Rainbow 6 jackpot Monday at Gulfstream Park, and there will be a mandatory payout. The jackpot has not been hit for the past 31 programs, dating back to the middle of July.
Gulfstream had guaranteed the pool at $1 million for Sunday. Track officials project the pool could top $2 million Monday.
The Rainbow 6 has a 20-cent minimum, and it will run on races 6-11 Monday. As a mandatory payout day, the entire pool must be paid out to those with tickets with the most winners in the sequence, according to a release from Gulfstream. Typically, the jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket with all six winners. The jackpot was last hit July 16, and it paid $164,483.
Gulfstream also has mandatory payouts in the pick five and Super Hi-5 Monday. First post is 12:45 p.m. Eastern.
