Rainbow 6 jackpot pool guaranteed at $500,000 on Wednesday

Barbara D. Livingston Gump is among the contenders in Wednesday's seventh race at Gulfstream. The starter allowance is the fifth race in the Rainbow 6 sequence.

There will be a $500,000-guaranteed jackpot pool in the 20-cent Rainbow 6 when racing resumes Wednesday. The sequence starts in the third race on an eight race program that is highlighted by a starter-allowance race with a purse of $41,000 carded at one mile on the main track.

Seven horses will contest the feature, race 7, with leading trainer Saffie Joseph Jr. sending out Tiz Rye Time as the likely favorite. Tiz Rye Time looks to rebound from a fourth-place finish at 4-5 under similar conditions four weeks ago here. Tiz Rye Time was bumped at the start of that race, came wide into the stretch, and shifted in during the stretch run.

Key contenders in the seventh race also include Rebelde, who is coming off the claim for trainer Rohan Crichton, Man On the Moon, and Gump.
