Radosevich still one shy of landmark

Trainer Jeff Radosevich has gone into a slump at just the wrong time. One winner short of his 1,000th career victory, he has gone 0 for his last 11 starters.

Since winning 3 of the first 5 races at Thistledown on Oct. 3, he has gone winless at this track with 28 consecutive starters, though nine of them finished second or third.

Radosevich scored win No. 999 at Mountaineer Park last Friday night. "I know that winner will come sooner or later," he said.

He's the leading trainer at Thistledown this meet with 65 winners, 10 more than Rodney Faulkner.

w Diane King, the oldest active female rider in North America, won her first race of the year on Sunday, aboard Money Depot. King will celebrate her 59th birthday on Dec. 22.
