R Dub gets two-turn test in CTBA Derby

R Dub is the most accomplished member of the $40,000 Colorado Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association Derby field on Saturday at Arapahoe Park as a two-time stakes winner. Despite the class edge, he finds himself facing the same question as all but one of his rivals: Can he get two turns?
The CTBA, a 1 1/16-mile race restricted to 3-year-olds bred in Colorado, drew a field of seven. The lone entrant proven at two turns is Noble Artist, who is coming off a one-mile allowance win over R Dub at Arapahoe.
