Quint's Brew has Nerud or Maryland Sprint up next

Quint’s Brew, runner-up in the Grade 2 Carter at Aqueduct on Saturday, returned to Delaware Park this week, where he will soon begin working toward his next start. Trainer Ned Allard said that he is considering several stakes races and will likely bring him back next month.
“We won’t be running him back in less than 30 days, that’s for sure,” Allard said. “We’ve got a number of options and we’re taking it one step at a time.”
Leaving the gate as the 2-1 favorite in the Carter, Quint’s Brew sat behind the leaders before taking command under a solid drive in the stretch. The 5-year-old tried to kick clear but could not hold off late closer Crazy Mason and was beaten a neck.

“He might have been a little quiet Sunday, but he’s back to himself already,” Allard said. “I felt like he ran a winning race and got beat by a rocket ship.”
After a brief rest in Delaware, Allard also said that he could return in either the Grade 3 John A. Nerud at Aqueduct on May 10 or the Grade 3 Maryland Sprint on May 17. Both stakes races Allard mentioned will be run at six furlongs, a distance Quint’s Brew hasn’t run since his maiden victory last year.
