Favored Quindici Man unleashed a strong late kick to wear down Slew the Man and capture the $53,950 Bull Dog Stakes Sunday at the Big Fresno Fair. Quindici Man, stakes-placed in his past two starts and second in the Grade 3 Inglewood earlier this year, was last on the second turn before responding to Ricky Frazier’s urging in scoring his first victory of 2010 in the 1 1/8-mile race. He paid $3.80. The 3-year-old Slew the Man got a perfect stalking trip behind All Saint before opening a three-length lead in the stretch, but the 4-year-old Quindici Man had him measured and won by a half-length in 1:50.22. Autism Awareness was third another 7 1/2 lengths back. Quindici Man, trained by Craig Lewis, earned $30,820 for Six-S Racing Stable, improving his career record to 7 for 27 with his fourth stakes victory. A son of Came Home, he has earned $332,670.
