Queen's Plate 2021 pedigree profile: Munnyfor Ro

Munnyfor Ro
Munnings – Repartee, by Distorted Humor
Bred in Ontario by Daybar Ltd. ($65,000 Keeneland September yearling purchase by Raroma Stable)
Munnings, who is a top 10 North American general sire this year, is known as an outstanding sire of fillies. He looks to have another good one in Munnyfor Ro, who is likely to be supplemented to the Queen’s Plate after her Woodbine Oaks victory.
Munnings, by Speightstown, is the sire of 19 graded stakes winners. The fillies in that group are led by multimillionaire and multiple Grade 1 winner I’m a Chatterbox. Munnings also is the sire of the versatile Kimari, a Grade 1 winner on dirt and Group 1-placed on turf at the Royal Ascot meeting, and multiple graded stakes-winning fillies Finite, Bonny South, and Venetian Harbor.
The placed mare Repartee, by the outstanding broodmare sire Distorted Humor, is the dam of two winners from as many starters. She is out of stakes winner Dubai Belle, a full sister to Grade 1 winner Little Belle, dam of Grade 1 winner Dickinson. This is the outstanding extended family of Horse of the Year Mineshaft and of Grade 1/Group 1 winners Flagbird, Mr. Sidney, Prospectors Delite, Runup the Colors, and Tomisue’s Delight.
