Purse redistributed due to medication violation
ARCADIA, Calif. – The purse of a $20,000 claiming race for maidens at Los Alamitos in December has been redistributed after race winner Palm d’Oro tested positive for a metabolite of the prohibited medication pyrilamine, an antihistamine.
Santa Anita stewards Ron Church, Luis Jauregui, and Kim Sawyer issued a ruling on the matter March 12.

Palm d’Oro won the five-furlong race by five lengths as the 3-1 second choice for BG Stables, trainer Art Sherman, and jockey Jessica Pyfer, who were ordered to return their shares of the purse. Palm d’Oro, who has not raced since, was disqualified from purse earnings.
The revised order of the first five finishers in the field of nine are Rocketann, Watch the Fed, Flashy Pass, Cocoa Cents, and Kiss of Congrats.
Rocketann finished second in a $3,500 claiming race for maidens at the Los Alamitos evening meeting on March 7 before the ruling was published. The 7-year-old mare is now recognized as a winner.
