Proofsinthepuddin tops the bill in Peppers Pride
Proofsinthepuddin will start as the 120-pound highweight Sunday when she makes her two-turn debut in the $100,000 Peppers Pride Handicap at Sunland Park.
The one-mile race is for fillies and mares bred in New Mexico.

Proofsinthepuddin, who closed from 13 lengths back, could be closer to the pace Sunday on the stretchout in distance. She will break from post 2 under regular rider Roimes Chirinos.
Trainer Todd Fincher is the co-breeder of Proofsinthepuddin, a daughter of the Bernardini stallion Marking. She races for Reliance Ranches.
The chief threat could be Movin On, who was fourth in the $100,000 Peppers Pride on the New Mexico Cup card Oct. 31 at Zia Park. The race also was at a mile.
Movin On has since been working forwardly for her 7-year-old debut. Joel Marr, who trained Peppers Pride, will saddle Movin On for breeder and owner Donnell Echols. Luis Fuentes has the mount from post 5. Movin On has been assigned 117 pounds.
