Princess Theorem is the lone stakes winner in the $150,000 Indiana Grand Stakes on Wednesday, but handicapping the race is far from that simple. There are a number of capable runners in the 12-horse turf stakes. Burning Ambition is going for her fourth straight win. Stillchargingmaria exits a stakes that produced the winner of the $150,000 Virginia Oaks at Colonial Downs. Mrs Claus is a half-sister to Grade 1 winner Grace Hall. Touch of Class moves to two turns, where a pair of her full siblings are graded stakes winners. Shesa Mystery was second in the Grade 3 Iowa Oaks. The Indiana Grand, a mile turf race for 3-year-old fillies, is one of four stakes on the card. The program includes the $150,000 Caesars for 3-year-olds at a mile on the grass, and a pair of main track sprints for 2-year-olds. Princess Theorem won the $100,000 Van Clief at Colonial in her most recent start Aug. 9. She rallied from off the pace for a 1 3/4-length win. The start was her first since March and she would seem to have reason to move forward Wednesday in her second out since a fifth-place finish in the LaCombe Memorial at Fair Grounds. Joe Rocco Jr., has the mount from post 4. The daughter of Nyquist and the Grade 2-winning racemare Princess Haya races for Dewberry Thoroughbred LLC and is trained by Brendan Walsh. Burning Ambition is making her stakes debut after winning her last three starts. Her streak began in October in a maiden special weight route that came off the turf at Indiana. She proceeded to win back-to-back allowances on the grass, one in December at Fair Grounds and the other at Ellis Park on Aug. 13. Burning Ambition, who has tactical speed, will break from post 8 under Fernando De La Cruz. The daughter of Uncle Mo and the Group 1-winning mare Do You Remember races for Michael de Broglio and is trained by Brad Cox. :: Get Daily Racing Form Past Performances – the exclusive home of Beyer Speed Figures Stillchargingmaria is out of the multiple Grade 1-winning mare Stopchargingmaria, who earned more than $3 million. Stillchargingmaria has registered both of her career wins in turf routes at Lone Star Park. She made her stakes debut last out and was fifth to Flippant in the $100,000 Dueling Grounds Oaks Preview at Ellis Park. Since the Aug. 7 race, Flippant has accounted for the Virginia Oaks. Marcelino Pedroza has the mount on Stillchargingmaria from post 7. Steve Asmussen trains the daughter of Pioneeerof the Nile for Whisper Hill Farm and Three Chimneys Farm. Mrs Claus will get good support as a runner who is 2 for 2. She makes her stakes debut following an entry-level allowance win at a mile on turf Aug. 6 at Ellis Park. The daughter of Cairo Prince has pedigree in her corner, as her older half-sister Grace Hall earned $1.5 million. Declan Carroll has the mount from post 11 for Godolphin and Walsh. Touch of Class has a chance to wire the field from her rail post. She is stretching out around two turns for the first time, off a series of turf-sprint starts. Touch of Class is a full sister to both One Mean Man and Mizz Money, who were graded winners at two turns on turf. Orlando Mojica has the mount for Hillerich Racing and LTB Inc., and trainer Bernie Flint. Caesars Stakes The Caesars field of nine is led by Royal Prince, who is a half-brother to champion British Idiom. He is a turf specialist, with his three wins coming on the grass. Of those victories, two came in route stakes over the winter at Fair Grounds and Sam Houston. Royal Prince has since been based in Kentucky, and in his last start Aug. 7 was second by a nose in the $100,000 Dueling Grounds Derby Preview at Ellis Park. De La Cruz has the mount from post 7. Royal Prince races for Steve Landers and is trained by Cox. Perfect Silent Cat invades from Gulfstream Park, where he won the $60,000 Aventura by more than three lengths Aug. 14. The mile race was run in the slop and for the effort he earned a career-high Beyer Speed Figure of 80. On turf, Perfect Silent Cat has run second and third. Luca Panici has the mount for Shamrock Highlands Thoroughbreds and trainer Sharon Boland, the daughter of Hall of Fame jockey Bill Boland. ◗ Trainer Antonio Duran will attempt to sweep the 2-year-old stakes on the card when he sends out the capable runners Skys Image in the $100,000 Back Home Again for fillies at six furlongs and Classic Max and Tour the Moon in the $100,000 Circle City.
