Princess Composer now leads North America

Princess Composer rolled to her North American-leading eighth win this season in Monday's $45,000 Florence Henderson Stakes for Indiana-bred fillies and mares at Indiana Downs, taking the about one mile turf feature by three lengths over Easy Tee. Amature's Prize finished another 2 3/4 lengths behind in third.

The Florence Henderson marked the first stakes win for Princess Composer ($5.60), a 5-year-old who has now won 8 of 10 this year, including her last five in succession. Ridden by Jose Camejo for trainer Rebecaa McGee, Princess Composer covered the distance over firm ground in 1:37.46, which established a course record. The previous mark for about one mile on turf was 1:38.20.
