Pretty Mischievous works for Acorn

Kentucky Oaks winner Pretty Mischievous worked a half-mile in 48.19 seconds Saturday morning over the Belmont Park main track in preparation for next Friday’s Grade 1, $500,000 Acorn Stakes.
Pretty Mischievous started about a length in front of stablemate Gilmore and the two basically finished as they started, though Pretty Mischievous pulled away on the gallop out.
“Just wanted her to get over the track, nothing fancy at all, but she worked good,” trainer Brendan Walsh said. “She was doing it all very easy, very within herself, looked like she handled the surface well. She came up here in great shape.”
Gilmore, third in the Pat Day Mile, is going to be part of an expected large field for Saturday’s Grade 1 Woody Stephens for 3-year-olds.
“Gilmore worked great, that’s kind of him, he does exactly what you ask him,” Walsh said.
