ALTOONA, Iowa - Debut winner One Fine Affair heads a wide-open field of 10 2-year-olds entered in Saturday's $50,000-added Iowa Stallion Futurity at Prairie Meadows.

One Fine Affair dueled to the stretch and then drew clear for a 1 3/4-length victory over statebred maiden special weight company at five furlongs here July 2.

One Fine Affair, a son of Blumin Affair trained by Don Von Hemel, should have no problem handling the added distance of Saturday's six-furlong Stallion Futurity. One Fine Affair will also race on Lasix for the first time Saturday. Perry Compton has a return call.

Mingo Mohawk has the most experience of those entered in the Stallion Futurity, having started four times for Dick Clark, the meet's leading trainer. After winning his maiden in his second career start here in June, Mingo Mohawk returned to finish fourth against open stakes company in the Prairie Gold Juvenile on July 1. In his most recent start, Mingo Mohawk nearly overcame a five-wide trip when he dropped a nose decision against allowance company here July 24. Glenn Corbett, the meet's leading rider, has a return call aboard Mingo Mohawk.

Lordslegacy is the only stakes winner entered Saturday by virtue of her 3 3/4-length victory in the 5 1/2-furlong ITBOA Sales Futurity here July 17. The win was Lordslegacy's first in three career starts and came against suspect company, but she did make two moves in the race and won going away in her first start on Lasix. Trainer Glynn Bernis will give jockey James Lopez a leg up on Lordslegacy.
