Power Jet rallies from last to win Equine Sales Derby

Power Jet became a stakes winner Saturday night at Evangeline Downs, closing from last for a 2 1/4-length victory over Paynt Battle in the $75,000 Equine Sales Derby. It was another head back to Fat Clemenza in third.
The Equine Sales Derby was a one-mile race restricted to 3-year-old graduates of designated auctions in Louisiana.

Power Jet moved past his rivals and went on to cover the distance on a fast track in 1:38.98.
Chris Rosier was aboard for trainer Bret Calhoun.
Power Jet is a son of Power Broker who races for William T. Reed. He has won 2 of 9 starts and earned $99,210.
