Power Button will try and make it three wins in a row when she tackles a closely matched group of fillies and mares running in the seventh race at Northlands Park on Saturday. The six-furlong sprint that will serve as the feature attracted seven horses running for a $7,500 claiming price and it appears to be a wide-open race.Trained by Doug Smith, Power Button drew the rail and will likely be sent to the front by jockey Anthony Salgado. She was an easy 5 3/4-length front-running winner in a $5,000 conditional claimer Aug. 8 and then had to work a little harder when she held off Kokopalli Wind in a $7,500 sprint on Aug. 18. Power Button runs well fresh and with two solid interim works she could be dangerous coming off a short break. There is other speed in the field and if a duel does develop it could set up nicely for Smart N Sexy. Trained by Garry Marks, Smart N Sexy got up in the last jump to win a $7,500 claiming sprint Sept. 6 and in her previous start she rallied from far back to finish fourth, 2 1/2 lengths behind Power Button on Aug. 18.Hello Haley has tailed off since she won her initial start at the meet in a $20,000 claiming race for trainer Floyd Arthur on July 2. Hello Haley has tactical speed and with the drop in class following a fifth-place finish for $15,000 on Aug. 20 she could be dangerous from a stalking position. Unsweetened, third to Smart N Sexy on Sept. 6, can also stalk and is certainly capable of winning at what should be a decent price if things fall her way. She is trained by Rick Hedge.
