Pool guaranteed at $300,000 for Rainbow 6

Gulfstream Park will have a guaranteed pool of $300,000 in its Rainbow 6 jackpot for Saturday. The 20-cent wager will run on races 6-11.

The Rainbow 6 carryover jackpot is paid out only when there is a single unique ticket sold with all six winners. On days when there is no unique winning ticket sold, 70 percent of that day’s pool goes back to those holding tickets with the most winners, while 30 percent is carried over to the jackpot pool, according to a press release from Gulfstream.

Gulfstream advertised on its website that if the jackpot was not hit Friday, the guaranteed pool would be in place for Saturday. There were multiple 5-of-6 tickets Friday, and they paid $16,256. The carryover into Saturday would have been $159,785.

There were a run of longshots during Friday’s sequence, with the fourth race won by Uncle Runt ($210.40), the seventh by Princess Victoria ($29.40), the eighth by Coronado Again ($43), and the ninth with Deputy Dora ($54.40).

The 50-cent pick five paid $54,331 on Friday. The winning numbers from races 5 through 9 were 3-1-6-1-9.
