Pocono: Horses to watch from September 22 - September 26

Ken Walters|Sep 27, 2018

Saturday, September 22

STILL FRISKIE (CLM15000) closed strong but late at 35-1.

SOUTHWIND DIESEL (CLM10000) tucked to the quarter, pulled to the half, challenged but was second best at 24-1.

PRETTY BOY HILL (NW9000) went wide to the half, chased the pace to the lane, challenged the pacesetting favoreite but could not get there. A better trip could get it done.

IDEAL KISS (CLMHCP30/40000) set the pace under pressure and tired. Beaten favorite was outkicked by the tripped-out well bet second favorite.

Sunday, September 24

COVERT OPERATIVE (CLM10000) made a big wide rally and proved a strong winner.

KANTHAKA (NW3500) was parked to the lead and drew off in the lane.

JACK RACKHAM (NW3000) came wide around tiring cover, brushed to the lead and was a handy winner.

TAY TAY M (W4-6) finished full of pace and just missed at 18-1.

Monday, September 24

FRANKIE MULLINS (NW6500) was parked the mile, grinded up, rallied gamely to be a solid second to the tripped-out favorite.

TRIX ARE FOR KIDS (NW2FM) rallied well from 3rd over at 14-1.

INTEROVER (NW2FM) tucked early, got beat to the top when the leader quit, sat pocket and was game 2nd best.

SMOOTH ACCELERATION (NW2) wired the field in handy fashion and should win a few here and there.

Tuesday, September 25

CC BIG BOY SAM (CLM7500) came wide from the back in the final turn with solid close and can get luckier in next.

MISS IRISH ROSE A (NW6000M) came wide with a rush, challenged, but flattened out just enough. Beaten favorite is a winner with same move most times.

TRUTH AND LIBERTY (NW18500M) closed strongly in last and just missed.

BOXING GLOVES (NW4) knocked out some more foes in last as his winning streak continued.
